As the leading trade fair for the tourism commodities and consumptions in Asia, the 10th China International Tourism Commodities Fair (CITCF) will be grandly held in Yiwu International Expo Center on May 25-28, 2018. Themed with “Smart Travel with Stylish Commodities”, this year’s fair will embrace its 10th anniversary. Five halls will be especially rolled out, that is, Hall A1 for environmentally-friendly tourist toilets; Hall B1 for provinces and cities; Hall C1 for thematic showcasing; Hall D1 for characteristic products of tourist destinations and Hall E1 for tourism equipment. The fair will attract more than 2,000 enterprises from Russia, Argentina, France, South Korea, Czech Republic and many other countries and regions with a total display area of 50,000 sqm. Exhibits categories cover tourism equipment, vacation consumption, craft boutique, electric business services, specialty foods and other industries. The concurrent high-end activity --- Seminar on Chinese Toilet Revolution 2018 will be held on the first exhibition day.
New Three Year Plan for Chinese Toilet Revolution
A small toilet is not only an important issue of personal hygiene, but also an important epitome of a country’s degree of modernization. President Xi Jinping made important instructions on "Chinese Toilet Revolution" in 2015 and 2017. The country launched a wave of "toilet revolution." To the end of October 2017, 68,000 toilets were rebuilt which exceeded 19.3% of the target task. The toilet revolution gradually expanded from the scenic spots to the whole region, from cities to rural areas, from quantities increase to qualities improvement.
2018 is the beginning year for China to carry out a new three year plan (2018-2020) for National Toilet Revolution. Recently, Zhejiang Province released its new three year plan for toilet revolution. In the next three years, 3,246 tourism toilets will be newly constructed and 1,799 toilets will be renovated and expanded. 839 third public toilets will be added and 72 of them will be constructed in the national 5A class tourist scenic spots, blowing the horn of the new three year revolution.
As China’s first exhibition which sets up environmentally-friendly toilets display, CITCF 2018 will attract more than 100 toilet enterprises to showcase their latest products and technologies in hall A1. In addition, Seminar on Chinese Toilet Revolution 2018 will be held concurrently. Themed with “Construction, Management and Upgrade”, the seminar will have speakers from World Toilet Organization, American Restroom Association, Taiwan Toilet Association as well as notable toilet enterprises from home and abroad, providing an excellent communication platform for promoting the development of domestic toilet enterprises and innovating toilet industry.
Cultural and Creative Product to Create Life Aesthetics
In recent years, with the strong support of the national policy, the culture industry shows vigorous development, and gradually moves towards the main battlefield of national economy and society. With the deep integration of tourism and Internet technology, the application of electronic information technology such as IoT, big data and cloud computing has made a full range of intelligent upgrading on integrated tourism and opened up a new channel for the development of tourism industry. This year’s fair will further promote "Internet+ tourism”, focus on smart travel and let information change the world. Many intelligent tourism products and high technologies will be displayed to show how smart travel brings new travel experience and more convenient services to people. With the integration and development of "Internet +" and many other industries, smart travel will bring new atmosphere for tourism management, services, marketing and other aspects of the industry.
The international display area will attract overseas exhibitors from Australia, Pakistan, France, South Korea, Guinea-Bissau, Czech Republic, Cameroon, Comoros, Kenya, Malaysia, Madagascar and many other countries and regions. Russia will greatly expand the booth area and bring a large range of eastern European-style products for the upcoming 2018 World Cup. Argentina’s red wine, beef, seafood and mate tea will be flown to the scene, allowing visitors to enjoy the South American flavor timely.
